Blackwood Estate Community Association is a Scottish charity working to protect and improve our local environment for the betterment of our community.
What We Do
Welcome to Blackwood Estate Community Association (BECA)

Our charity was founded in June 2019, by a group of eight Blackwood residents who want to improve and conserve our natural environment. We believe that by working together we can all achieve genuine, positive and local change. All our trustees are volunteers, giving as much time as they can to our work.
Our primary objectives are to directly benefit our local villages of Blackwood, Kirkmuirhill and Boghead by:
increasing public access to Blackwood Estate (particularly educational access for our local primary schools and community groups)
safeguarding an environmentally and historically significant ancient woodland, enhancing its biodiversity and mitigating climate change.
